Kev Dean
Founder & Owner of Freedom In Motion
Hi I’m Kev,
I am the founder and owner of Freedom In Motion.
I’m a scuba diving instructor and fitness enthusiast, and I love staying active both in the water and in the gym. My main passion is weight training, but I also enjoy challenging myself in other areas of fitness and regularly pushing myself outside of my comfort zone.
Over the years, I’ve taken part in a wide range of physical challenges. I’ve competed in numerous OCRs (Obstacle Course Races), including Tough Mudder, Wolf Run and Spartan Races. I’ve also run 5km and 10km races, half marathons, and completed the London Marathon in 2021.
I’ve also completed the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours. These experiences have given me a real appreciation for what the human body is capable of, as well as the demands that training, competition and recovery can place on it.
I set up Freedom In Motion because I wanted to help people become better, fitter and healthier versions of themselves. I believe that everyone should be able to move well, feel good and get the most out of their body, whatever their starting point.
To help me achieve this, I’ve trained in a wide range of techniques and treatment approaches, allowing me to tailor what I do to each individual and their needs. Whether you’re fairly sedentary and simply want to move and feel better, or you’re super fit and looking to improve performance, recover from training or stay at your best, Freedom In Motion is here to help.

Kelsey Mercer
KM Muscle Medic - Sports Massage Therapist
Hey, I'm Kelsey,
I started my career working as a registered nurse, where most of my time has been spent in and around Emergency and Critical roles. After a back injury in 2022 I realised I needed to build back my strength and heal my body, so I started getting back into fitness to gain strength and seeing a sport therapist regularly to help heal my body. This is where I realised a lot more can be done with alternatives to medicine.
Since then I have completed my course in sports massage therapy and am excited to support others in their own journey to better health and fitness.

Catherine Bayada
In Motion - Sports Massage Therapist
Hi, I'm Catherine,
I’m a Level 4 Sports Massage Therapist with a real interest in sport, fitness and keeping people moving. Alongside my sports massage qualification, I have a qualification in Sports Taping and have studied physiotherapy, which has given me a strong understanding of the body and how it responds to training and activity. I enjoy running, skydiving as well as watching and playing ice hockey, so I know how important it is to look after your body when you’re regularly putting it through its paces. I enjoy helping people manage those everyday aches, tight muscles and little niggles, with treatments tailored to what they need. Whether you’re training, recovering or just looking after yourself, I’m here to help.
